You are paying for it to be alive, hosted, backed up and kept current — not for the file. We say this on day one and not in small print, because it is the part that decides everything else.
There is no fixed term. You can stop whenever you want, and you can buy it whenever you want.

Several of the same kind in one message count as one. What costs is opening the job, not repeating the line. Changes do not carry over from one month to the next.
Extra changes are $35 each.

These are always quoted separately. Not to nickel and dime you — because they are a different size of job, and pretending otherwise would mean cutting corners somewhere.

On day one it is 15% off, with three months of support included. Partway through, everything you have already paid comes off the price — all of it, not a part — and we take another 10% off on top.
After it is yours, support is optional at $49 a month: two changes, hosting and backups. Or you take it wherever you like and pay us nothing.
This is the part no platform offers. Not selling it to you is their business model.

$290 when you sign, or $0 and the setup spread over the first three months. That is the only thing charged before there is anything to look at, and it is what puts the work in motion.
Then the monthly — $95, $150 or $249 depending on how much looking after your site needs. The first one is charged the day the site goes live on your own address, not before. So you are never paying to keep alive something you cannot show anyone yet.
If you buy it outright instead: half on signing, half the day it goes live.

And one that only applies to photographs. A generated image can never stand in for one of your dishes. Dishes are photographed for real, with a phone, and the tool only improves that real photo: light, background, cleanliness. If there is no real photo of a dish, that dish goes without one — an honest mixed menu beats forty invented plates.
